In Guatemala, more than half the population lives in poverty, and young women, especially those from indigenous communities, often face overwhelming barriers to education, opportunity, and safety. Many girls grow up in environments shaped by poverty, cultural inequality, and one of the highest rates of gender-based violence in the world. Yet even amidst these challenges, there is incredible resilience, hope, and potential waiting to be unlocked. We believe that by investing in the lives of young women in Guatemala, we can nurture a new generation of leaders who will transform their communities from within.
